Bobbin

Bobbin is a free screen and webcam recorder for Chrome. Record your whole screen, one window or a single tab with your microphone and the tab's sound (whole-screen system audio on Windows and ChromeOS). A round webcam bubble floats above your windows, so your face appears in screen and window recordings. There is also a camera-only mode.

Recordings are saved on your computer, not uploaded anywhere: an MP4 where your browser supports it (WebM otherwise), up to 1080p at 30 fps. There's no account, no watermark, no time limit and no limit on the number of videos. Bobbin writes to disk every second, so a crash doesn't lose your take. It has no analytics or trackers and asks only for storage, unlimitedStorage and alarms permissions.

Good for tutorials, lessons, bug reports, product demos and recording a Meet or Zoom call you're in (with everyone's agreement). It doesn't edit videos, host share links or make transcripts: it gives you the file.
