Privacy Policy

Ignlab Launch is built to be used without an account for browsing, searching, upvoting, and submitting a tool. This page explains exactly what we collect, in plain language, matching what the site actually does โ€” not generic boilerplate.

What we collect

If you just browse: we log a one-way hashed version of your IP address (not the IP itself) to prevent duplicate upvotes and spam submissions, and to power anonymous features like "similar tools." This hash can't be reversed back to your IP. We also use Google Analytics to understand traffic in aggregate โ€” see "Analytics" below.

If you submit a tool: we store the tool details you provide and, optionally, an email address if you want to be notified about your submission's status. That email is never shown publicly.

If you create an account: we store your email, a securely hashed password (we never store or can see your plaintext password), and anything you choose to add to your profile (display name, bio, social links). Creating an account is entirely optional โ€” browsing, searching, and submitting a tool never require one.

If you subscribe to the newsletter: we store your email address and a double opt-in confirmation. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies and local storage: a session cookie keeps you signed in if you have an account. A small local-storage entry remembers your light/dark theme preference. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, roughly how many people, which countries). We don't use this data to identify individual visitors, and we don't sell or share it beyond what Google's own terms permit.

Email delivery

Transactional email (account verification, password reset, newsletter, digests) is sent through a third-party relay (Brevo) purely to get the message delivered โ€” it is not used for marketing by that provider on our behalf.

What we never do

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or a follow digest at any time via the link in the email. You can delete your saved tools, follows, reviews, and collections yourself from your account page. To request full account deletion, or to ask what data we hold about you, contact us โ€” see below.
