MacUno is a native macOS menu bar app that reads your MacBook's lid angle. As you close the lid, your desktop gradually blurs, narrows in perspective, and dims; reopening the lid reverses the effect. Settings include a custom trigger angle, transition styles, animation variants, per-app strength profiles, and external-display support. Desktop images are processed in local memory, not saved or uploaded. It costs $4.50 once. Requires an Apple Silicon MacBook on macOS 15.2+ with a readable lid-angle sensor; physical-device testing has been on a MacBook Pro M3 Pro, so sensor support is not guaranteed on every model. Screen recording permission is required. The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized, and the website explains the first-launch approval steps.
