IBANforge provides a REST API for checking IBAN structure and looking up bank and BIC reference data. It is designed for accounting software, ERP integrations and invoice-processing workflows. Responses distinguish a failed check from unavailable or indicative reference data and include provenance where supplied. A web playground, file-audit workflow and MCP interface are available. The service does not verify account ownership or existence and does not execute payments. Free API-key allowances and paid options are listed on the website.
