Coding Tools MCP is an open-source MCP server that gives any AI chat or agent a safe pair of hands on a codebase — 18 tools over the Model Context Protocol: file search, atomic multi-file patches, PTY command execution, and git. Model-neutral (works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI), gated by permission modes with Landlock kernel confinement on Linux. Apache 2.0, published on PyPI and npm.
